Interactive remakes of literature’s finest fiction.
Digital adaptations are the first in a new form of entertainment, where books are transformed into incredible cinematic reading experiences. Step into the world of the book and discover its story from the inside out.
Digital adaptations are multi-sensory experiences, where a combination of words, art, audio and story mechanics are used to transform the best of books into living entities.

The Story Mechanics has developed the digital adaptations format from scratch, driven by the desire to bring amazing stories to life as interactive experiences, without getting sidetracked by the notion of ‘competitive gaming’ that would break the story flow – or equally, the notion of ‘book’ that would hinder narrative freedom.
Some people have suggested we’re influenced by the early 90s CDROM era of interactive storytelling – and we are! But things have moved on a lot since then, and digital adaptations bring much more to the table… and we’re excited about hearing what you think!
The best way to understand a digital adaptation is to experience one. We hope you like them as much as we do. And, if you have any favourite books or candidates for a digital adaptation, do drop us a line – we are making these for you after all (hello@thestorymechanics.com).
